Persepolis scored a huge victory 3-1 over Qatari club Al-Duhail at Azadi Stadium on 17 September in the Asian Champions League quarterfinals.
Entering the match, Persepolis was down 1-0 on aggregate and falling behind in the first half meant the mission would be difficult to complete.
But goals from Jalal Hosseini, Godwin Mensha, and an own-goal gave the Iranian club a 3-2 victory on aggregate.
Persepolis will face Al-Sadd of Qatar in the Asian Champions League semifinals.
I am really excited for Persepolis and I really believe that the Red Army has a shot at getting past Al-Sadd.
But it will be tough considering Al-Sadd has Spanish midfielder Xavi on its roster.
Anyway, lets put our support behind Persepolis and hope for a victory when the first leg is played on 2 October in Doha.
