Persepolis see off Al Ahli in thrilling fashion [Video]

Entering the second leg in Abu Dhabi, Persepolis and Saudi Arabian club Al Ahli were tied 2-2 on aggregate.

Late in the match, the score was tied 1-1 but Persepolis were able to keep up the pressure despite being reduced to ten men after Kamal Kamyabina was sent off in the 11th minute.

Penalties converted by Godwin Mensha and Mehdi Taremi late in the match sealed a spot for Persepolis in the 2017 Champions League Semifinals.

Next up is Saudi Arabian club Al Hillal.

Persepolis and Al Hillal faced one another two times in the group phase as both matches finished in draws but this time one team will move on to the 2017 AFC Champions League Final.
