Rostov – Iranian striker Sardar Azmoun got his name in the book in the 26th minute but more importantly he got his name on the score sheet in the 74th minute as Rostov defeated Ural 1-0.
Azmoun had an excellent chance to give Rostov the lead in the 65th minute but he was denied on a nice save by Ural keeper Dmitri Arapov.
Nine minutes later, Azmoun more than made up for his miss when he leaped high to head home a cross from Timofei Kalachev that made its way into the upper corner.
Azmoun was substituted out three minutes later and got a well deserved rest after he scored in his fifth consecutive match for Rostov.
