Mashad, Iran – Entering this match, Siah Jamegan knew anything less than a victory would be failure against visitors Tractor Sazi of Tabriz on 24 April.
Defender Mohammad Iranpourian scored from the penalty spot in the 32nd minute to give Tractor a 1-0 lead.
The Red Wolves from Tabriz held onto the lead all the way until the 83rd minute when forward Hossein Zamehran equalized for the home side.
Seven minutes later, the young midfielder Alireza Naghizadeh scored the game winner to give Siah Jamegan a huge 2-1 upset victory over Tractor Sazi.
The win for Siah Jamegan mean they still remain in the third to last relegation spot but trail Malavan by only two points with three weeks remaining in the Iranian Pro League season.
Malavan defeated Saipa 3-2 at home on 22 April and currently have twenty-six points in the IPL Table.
Three teams will be relegated from the Iran Pro League to the Azadegan League. Esteghlal Ahvaz are in the last position with thirteen points and have been officially relegated while Rah Ahan of Tehran are in the second to last position with twenty-two points.
