Abadan – Newly promoted Iranian side Sanat Naft Abadan have signed Iranian-Dutch keeper Agil Etemadi.
Last season Agil Etemadi was the number one keeper for Almere City in the Eerste Divisie, the second level of Dutch football. Etemadi made sixty appearances for Almere from 2013 to 2016 and helped lead his side into the promotion play-offs but fell short against Eredivisie side Willem II.
This will be Etemadi’s second stint in Iran after having made nine appearances for Tractor Sazi Tabriz during the 2012-13 Iranian Pro League season.
Sanat Naft, also known as Iran’s Brazil, were promoted to the IPL after finishing third in the 2015-16 Azadegan League.
