Okay everyone, supposedly Iranian striker Mehdi Taremi is being pursued by Dutch club FC Groningen and right back Ramin Rezaeian is on trial with Belgian club KV Oostende.
My sources tell me that Rezaeian will sign with Oostende if he passes his trial and the news with Taremi going to Groningen technically can be considered speculation because he still has one year remaining on his contract with Persepolis.
Like I have been saying lately, I love the idea of more Iranian footballers playing in European leagues but we all remember what happened last summer: Taremi and Rezaeian both signed with Caykur Rizespor of the Turkish Super League and both became home-sick and returned to Iran.
Taremi and Rezaeian both played well as Persepolis won the Iranian Pro League and both helped Team Melli qualify to the 2018 World Cup but I really want to see what both of these guys can do in Europe.
