Mjøndalen – FK Jerv – known as wolverines in Norwegian – shared the spoils with Mjøndalen IF at Isachsen Stadium on 10 July.
As was expected, Jerv parked the bus in a scoreless first half but took the lead four minutes into the second half when Nigerian midfielder Michael Ogungbaro scored a header off a corner kick.
Mjøndalen refused to lose and were rewarded twenty-two minutes later when midfielder Christian Gauseth scored from close range off a corner kick.
The match ended 1-1 and Mjøndalen are now tied with Kongsvinger and Strømmen with twenty-four points but Mjøndalen trail both teams on goal difference and find themselves in the ninth position, one point out of the last play-off spot.
FK Jerv are satisfied leaving with a point as they currently occupy the fourth position in the table with twenty-seven points.
Iranian keeper Sosha Makani was not in action nor on the bench as work permit issues still need to be sorted out. Danish keeper Marco Priis Jørgensen was in goal once again Mjøndalen.
For the next match, Mjøndalen will face relegation threatened Fredrikstad away from home on 30 July.
