Tehran – According to sources, Iranian defender Ehsan Hajsafi is on the verge of signing with Panionios of the Greek Super League.
Panionios finished fifth in the Greek Super League last season. If Hajsafi does join Panionios, he will be joining fellow Team Melli forward Karim Ansarifard.
Hajsafi, who was recently linked with a move to Esteghlal Tehran, scored two goals in twenty-seven appearances for FSV Frankfurt in Bundesliga 2 last season.
FSV Frankfurt were relegated to Fussball Liga 3 on the final matchday after finishing with thirty-two points and missing out on a relegation play-off spot on goal difference.
Hajsafi has made seventy-seven appearances for Iran since 2008 and represented Team Melli at Asian Cup 2011, World Cup 2014, and Asian Cup 2015.
