Mjøndalen – Iranian keeper Sosha Makani earned a clean sheet in a 2-0 home victory over visitors KFUM Oslo.

Amahl Pellegrino opened up the scoring when he gave Mjøndalen a 1-0 lead right before the end of the first half.
Midfielder Erik Midtgarden scored ten minutes into the second half to give his side a 2-0 lead.
Mjøndalen have clinched a play-off spot and sit in the sixth position with forty-eight points but trail Sandnes Ulf on goal difference. Mjøndalen will face Levanger on 30 October in match that will be huge in determining play-off positioning.
If the play-offs were today, Mjøndalen would be facing Jerv. However, depending how things go on the final match day, Mjøndalen could still claim the 4th spot in the table.
No matter what happens, Mjøndalen will compete for a shot at the third and final promotion spot to the top flight of Norwegian football.
Sandefjord and Kristiansund have claimed the top two automatic promotion spots and will be in the top flight of Norwegian football in 2017.
