All three Iranian clubs won last week to open up the 2016 AFC Asian Champions League group play, could all three clubs win again?
Group A
Sepahan were looking to build on their 2-0 win over Al-Nasr SC in Isfahan last week but this time the roles were reversed; Al-Nasr defeated Sepahan 2-0 in Dubai with goals coming from Brazilian striker Nilmar in the 57th minute and Burkinabe midfielder Jonathan Pitroipa in the 90th minute. Sepahan will look to get back on track against Lokomotiv Tashkent on 15 March in Isfahan.
Group B
Zob Ahan was unable to score at home against Qatari club Lekhwiya in Isfahan. The match ended in a scoreless draw. Head coach of Zob Ahan – Yahya Golmohammadi – made three substitutions in the last fifteen minutes to try and break the deadlock. Zob Ahan currently have four points after two matches and will take on Bunyodkor in Tashkent on 16 March.
Group C
