Karaj – Former Team Melli center back Yahya Golmohammadi has been named new head coach of Azadegan football club Oxin Alborz.
Golmohammadi recently was head coach of Isfahani club Zob Ahan but parted ways with the club due to a poor start to the current Persian Gulf Pro League season.
Oxin Alborz are new members of Azadegan League after being promoted from Iranian Second Division.
Earlier this season Oxin Alborz were looking good when they were once in the second position of the table but five consecutive losses now has them in the eleventh position with twenty-three points.
Yahya Golmohammadi will definitely bring a lot to the table for the Karaj based club as he coached Zob Ahan to back-to-back Hazfi Cup Titles and a spot in the knockout stage of the 2016 AFC Champions League.
Oxin Alborz – founded in 2015 – definitely have a mountain to climb as they seek double promotion to gain a spot in the top flight of Iranian football.
Seventeen matches are left to be played in the second half of the season but Oxin Alborz have the right guy for the job in Yahya Golmohammadi, who will surely help them repair any problems in defense.
