Heerenveen – Unbeaten in their last seven matches, the Super Frisians of Heerenveen defeated Heracles 3-1 at Abe Lenstra Stadium on 23 October.
Stefano Marzo put the home side in front after twenty minutes on a goal assisted by Swedish midfielder Sam Larsson.
Five minutes before the end of half the visitors equalized on a goal scored by Brandley Huwas.
Six minutes after the hour mark, Iranian striker Reza Ghoochannejhad provided the assist for the go-ahead goal scored by Sam Larsson as Heerenveen took a 2-1 lead.
Twelve minutes later Heerenveen made the match safe when Jerry St. Juste scored from outside the box after receiving a pass from Marzo.
SC Heerenveen sit in the third position with twenty-one points after ten matches played and lead PSV on goal difference. But the Frisian club have a busy week ahead of them with a Dutch Cup match at FC Eindhoven on 27 October and three days later they will face table toppers Feyenoord away from home in what will surely be a difficult match.
