Iran completed its camp in Europe with a win over Venezuela on 13 November in a friendly played in Nijmegen, Netherlands.
The only goal of the match was scored by Iranian winger Alireza Jahanbakhsh and it was only fitting that the midfielder who once played for NEC Nijmegen gave Iran the victory.
We now know all 32 teams that will be competing in the 2018 World Cup and the draw is rapidly approaching.
