Rostov – Iranian midfielder Saeid Ezatolahi got his name on score sheet in a 3-0 win over newly promoted Russian Premier League side Tom Tomsk on 20 August.
Center back Ivan Novoseltsev got Rostov on the board when he scored his second goal of the season in the 17th minute to give his side a 1-0 lead.
Saeid Ezatolahi struck at the perfect time when he scored in the 45th minute to give Rostov a two goal lead going into the interval.
Aleksandr Yerokhin made the match safe for Rostov when he scored seven minutes into the second half to give his team a comfortable 3-0 lead.
One surprise from this match was that Saeid Ezatolahi appeared in the starting lineup as a right back instead of playing his normal position of defensive midfielder. But either way, Ezatolahi did score and he helped Rostov earn the important three points at home.
Next week Rostov will face Terek Grozny in Chechnya in a match that may feature three Iranian footballers: Sardar Azmoun, Saeid Ezatolahi, and Milad Mohammadi.
