Heerenveen – Iranian striker Reza “Gucci” Ghoochannejhad has returned to the Netherlands to sign with the team where he began his professional football career in 2005: SC Heerenveen.
Gucci previously played with Charlton Athletic in the Championship from 2014 to 2016 in which during that time he had loan spells at Al-Kuwait in the Kuwaiti Premier League and Al-Wakrah in the Qatar Stars League.
The Iranian striker scored three goals in thirty-eight appearances for Charlton, whom were relegated to League One after finishing in the twenty-second position in the Championship.
Gucci struggled to make appearances for Charlton and rarely suited up down the stretch of the season.
Last season SC Heerenveen finished twelfth in the Eredivisie and will be looking to score more goals with the arrivial of dangerous Iranian striker.
