Grozny – The football club from Chechnya ended their three game unbeaten streak with a 2-1 home victory against Gazovik Orenburg on 1 October at Akhmat Arena in the Russian Premier League.
Iranian left back Milad Mohammadi featured the full match for Terek Grozny.
Albanian forward Bekim Balaj put the hosts in front in the 25th minute with his third goal of the season.
Terek Grozny held onto a 1-0 lead well into the second half until midfielder Igor Lebedenko made the match safe with a goal in the 86th minute.
Blagoy Georgiev pulled one back for Orenburg when he converted a penalty kick in the 90th minute but Terek Grozny held on for the win and earned the three points.
Terek currently sit in the seventh position with fourteen points through nine matches played and will face Anzhi Makhachkala away from home on 17 October.
