In Group B, hosts Bunyodkor were looking for their first victory in the 2016 AFC Champions League group stage against Isfahani club Zob Ahan.
Starting keeper of Zob Ahan, Mohammad Rashid Mazaheri, showed why he was recently called up to the National Team of Iran for its upcoming World Cup Qualifiers by making crucial saves in the second half to earn his side a valuable point on the road.
Bunyodkor were clearly the better side throughout the match but Zob Ahan did a good job at parking the bus and playing tight defense. Zob Ahan have yet to concede a goal after three matches and it is no surprise that they are coached by former Team Melli center-back Yahya Golmohammadi.
In the other Group B match, hosts Al-Nassr tied Qatari visitors Lekhwiya 1-1 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Al-Nassr and Zob Ahan both have five points after three matches but Al-Nassr hold the lead through a better goal difference.
Zob Ahan will face Bunyodkor in Isfahan on April 5th.
