Iranian giants Persepolis were unable to find the breakthrough in front of 57,000 fans at Azadi Stadium in a scoreless draw against Qatari club Al-Rayyan. Persepolis remain in third place in Group D with five points.
Esteghlal Khuzestan were defeated 2-1 in Doha against Lekhwiya despite taking an early lead through Cameroonian striker Aloys Nong in the 9th minute. Esteghlal Khuzestan dropped from first to second position in Group B with seven points but still maintain a two point lead over third placed side Saudi Arabian club Al-Fateh.
