UEFA Europa League action continued this week as Olympiacos faced Besiktas in Istanbul and Rostov traveled to Old Trafford to face EPL giants Manchester United.
Iranian forward Karim Ansarifard played the full ninety minutes for Greek side Olympiacos in what turned out to be a 4-1 thrashing at the hands of Turkish club Besiktas in Istanbul. Besiktas have eliminated Olympiacos after winning 5-2 on aggregate.
At Old Trafford, a goal from Juan Mata that was assisted by Zlatan Ibrahimovic was enough to give Manchester United a 1-0 win and eliminate Russian club Rostov.
Iranian striker Sardar Azmoun started for Rostov but was substituted off for Aleksandr Bukharov at the hour mark.
Azmoun and Rostov have bowed out of Europa League after being defeated 2-1 on aggregate by Manchester United.
