Tehran – The match between Naft Tehran and Foolad finished in a 2-2 draw but by looking at the score sheet it was easy to see that it was a battle between strikers Mohammad Ghazi and Sasan Ansari.
Ghazi put Naft Tehran in the lead when he converted a penalty kick in the 40th minute and three minutes later Ansari equalized for Foolad when he scored from the penalty spot as well. In the 72nd minute it was Ghazi who finished off a cross to put Naft back in the lead at 2-1 but five minutes later Ansari answered again to level the score at 2-2.
Mohammad Ghazi has had a productive season with Naft Tehran but was last called into action for Team Melli back in 2013 despite scoring twelve goals this season. Sasan Ansari leads the Iranian Pro League with fifteen goals and was called up by Carlos Queiroz for Iran’s recent World Cup qualifying matches against Qatar and China.
