Okay it has been a while but I hope all you Iranian football fans caught some of the U17 World Cup.
It was great to see our young TM make it all the way to the quarterfinals. I know a lot of us were hoping for more but we knew Spain would be tough to beat.
Mohammad Sharifi of Saipa and Younes Delfi of Esteghlal Khuzestan looked good in the tournament and surely nobody will forget the amazing 4-0 victory over Germany in the first round.
Are Sharifi and Delfi future stars for the National Team of Iran? We will just have to wait and see but I also think that center back Taha Shariati has the potential to continue representing Iran at different levels.
2017 has been great for Iranian football with our U20 squad playing at the U20 World Cup and of course our Team Melli qualifying with flying colors to next year’s showcase in Russia.
