Alanyaspor – After being hammered on the road at Besiktas to open up the 2016-17 Turkish Super League season, Alanyaspor looked to rebound in their home opener against Antalyaspor on 26 August.

The visitors got on the board early in the match when midfielder Zeki Yildirim scored in the 5th minute to give Antalyaspor a 1-0 lead.

Atalyaspor held onto the 1-0 lead going into the interval and the home supporters at Alanya Oba Stadium were hoping to see a much better second half.

Two minutes after the hour mark, Haitian midfielder Wilde-Donald Guerrier scored for Alanyaspor to tie up the match at 1-1. Guerrier is playing in his first season with Alanyaspor after playing the previous three years for Wisla Krakow in the Polish Ekstraklasa.

Iranian forward Sajjad Shahbazzadeh started but was subbed out in the 46th minute for Togolese forward Jonathan Ayite.

The substitution made by head coach Huseyin Kalpar turned out to be the perfect move as Ayite provided the assist on the equalizing goal scored by Guerrier in the 62nd minute and he scored the game winner in the 90th minute to give Alanyaspor a 2-1 victory.

Alanyaspor will face Genclerbirligi away from home on 11 September.
